January 2025 -Lunch and Coffee Mornings

It was an early start and finish for our new chairman Norman Rodda's first lunch of 2025. The Club Committee decided to dispense with the after lunch talk to allow members to attend an early afternoon Memorial Service for the wife of one our longest serving members.

We dined on a hearty Beef Stew with Herb Dumplings and Mashed Potato

followed by a Coconut and Jam Sponge with Custard.

We still managed to proceed with our social activities during January with two coffee mornings at the Mayfield Lavender Cafe at the beginning and end of the month. The second one proving our most popular yet with 25 in attendance.

We will see if this becomes the new normal, especially as several of the regulars were missing.
